Admission
Department of Planetology has ten laboratories to cover and unify the
diverse area of Earth and Planetary Sciences and conduct education and
researches of the basic issues. It aims at fostering students' creative
attitude toward researches as well as capacity to directly contribute to
society. Students explore their respective research goals at these laboratories
providing basic and applied education of Earth and Planetary sciences.
After graduation, many of them work for private companies, universities
or the other national institutes as well as public sector, utilizing their
highly advanced specialty in the natural science field. So far, several
people have joined in our department as students from China, Korea, Taiwan,
Bangladesh, Republic of the Philippines, Greek, Brazil, Republic of Cameroon
and so forth.
You are very welcome to directly ask Faculty staff(s) about the academic life in their laboratories in which you are interested for studying and researching, and are also encouraged to visit the official Kobe University web site about the entrance examination, scholarships including international student assistance fund, Accommodation, Japanese language course etc. If you have any query about those official issues, please ask the education committee of our department.

Announcement for change in the application documents and screening for the application (term 1) to English-Based Master's Program
Due to the cancellations of TOEIC and TOEFL tests, TOEIC Official Score Certificate or TOEFL Score Report are not required for the application.
Instead, applicants are required to take an English proficiency test set by our department.
