Large magnitude explosive volcanic eruptions have significant impacts on the society.
I am developing a large magnitude explosive eruption database to estimate frequency of the eruptions and to study our knowledge of the past events.
In addition, understanding physics of tephra fallout is very important to estimate physical conditions of volcanic plumes from deposits distributions.
Therefore, I am also tackling this problem and improving an advection-diffusion model.
