  • Interplate coupling in subduction zones in the circum-Pacific regions (inversion analysis of GPS data, numerical simulations of temperature field)
  • Generation mechanism of deep low-frequency earthquakes and SSEs
  • Numerical simulations of deeper portions of slabs (stress field, temperature field, flow pattern, deformation, seismic wave propagation)
  • Numerical simulations of dynamic fault rupture process
