研究の興味

　海洋プレートの沈み込みに伴う諸現象や，地殻～マントルの構造・ダイナミクスの定量的理解を目指した研究を行っています．具体的には，なぜ南海地震のような海溝型巨大地震や深部低周波地震は発生するのか？地震波速度構造と物性はどのような関係にあるのか？沈み込んだスラブはどのように変形し，その層構造はどうなるのか？などの重要かつ根源的な疑問の解明に向けた研究を行っています．その目的を達成するためには，ジオダイナミクス・地震学・高温高圧実験の知見を総動員し，インヴァージョン解析，有限要素法・差分法などの手法を駆使したデータ解析や数値シミュレーションを行うのが有効な手段となります．このようなアプローチにより，これまで，地震間の期間におけるプレート間の固着状況の推定，地震が他の地震を誘発する可能性の検証，海洋プレートの沈み込みに伴う温度場・流れ場やスラブ変形のモデルの構築，相転移の影響を考慮した深発地震による地震波波動伝播の予測，などの研究に取り組んできました．今後はこのような研究をさらに推し進めて，モデルの高度化を図っていくとともに，より発展的なテーマにチャレンジしていきたいと考えています．

  • 環太平洋地域の沈み込み帯におけるプレート間カップリングの推定（測地データのインヴァージョン解析、温度分布の数値シミュレーション）
  • 深部低周波地震の発生メカニズムの解明
  • スラブ深部・SSEの数値シミュレーション（応力場・温度・流れ・変形・地震波波動伝播）
  • 断層の動的破壊の数値シミュレーション
  • 津波の数値シミュレーション
